Instructions:

• Composed of a mixture of lettuce mix and greens mix
• Best grown in rich, loamy soil with high organic matter
• Keep soil consistently moist throughout growing season
• Commonly planted in 30” wide beds, 6 rows with seeds spaced 1” apart

Pests:

• Aphids
• Leafminers
• Flea beetles
• Whiteflies
• Cabbage looper
• Diamondback moth

Diseases:

• Few diseases because crop does not reach maturity

Harvest:

• Harvest 3-5 weeks after seeding, and again in another 2-3 weeks
• Using lettuce knife, cut 1” above soil line
• Harvest early, before strong sun exposure

Post-Harvest:

• Double-wash in cold water to remove field heat and clean product
• Hydrocools during the washing process
• Store near 32 degrees Fahrenheit
• 14 day shelf life when properly handled
• Handle mix carefully to prevent bruising
