Instructions:

• Direct Seed
• Sow 15 seeds/ft., 1/4″ deep in 2″ wide bands in rows 18″ apart
• Mid October
• Planted in heated high tunnel
• Germination temperature between 50 and 80 degrees F

Insect Pests:

• Flea beetles (makes holes in leaves- use row cover to avoid)
• Aphids
• Cabbage worms

Diseases:

• Block rot (shouldn’t be issue with resistant- varieties)
• Avoid handling plants when wet, remove any infected plants

Harvest:

• Joi Choic
• Cut whole heads at soil level
• Pick after approximately 50 days

Post-Harvest:

• Remove any dirt
• Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks
