Greenhouse Open House

Get ready to check out some plants!

On Saturday, April 2nd, UNH is bringing back the Macfarlane Research Greenhouse Open House for the first time in two years. This Greenhouse Open House will give anyone interested the opportunity to meet NH Agricultural Experiment Station scientists, talk to UNH Cooperative Extension members, tour the newly completed greenhouse addition, and get a tour of our Farm to YouNH facilities by the students!

This event allows many members of the UNH community and beyond to show off to the public all of the cool new projects and classes that are being cooked up. This year, the event will be beginning with opening remarks from UNH president James Dean, Jr. with tours kicking off at 10 a.m. Additionally, any visitors that come are able to grab lunch that is being produced by the UNH Food Repurposing Project, a program that converts unused UNH dining hall foods into delightful meals.

As for Farm to YouNH, we’ll be leading tours of our facility and talking to visitors about our class, our experiences, and the learning opportunities provided through our class and the sustainable agriculture and food systems program.
