We finally got the tunnels covered back up with plastic… phew!! The tunnel covered, we needed to prep the beds so we can start growing. Here are the steps we use at FarmToYouNH in the preparation of our soil…

-Clear away the previous crop and crop debris.

-Broadfork the beds and rake up all the loosened soil into a mound.

-Add the carefully measured fertilizer.

-Mix the amendments into the soil using the a “tilther.”

-Flatten the bed with the tilther and a rake until it right around 30 inches across. 

After that, we plant things and watch them GROOOOOOOOW!!!!
