Spring 2019 has been a great semester for Farm to You NH. Having only five students has made the course unique from other years. This semester, students have been able to gain more of a one on one experience in their workshifts.
We are happy to announce that crop production has been steady this semester. In the unheated tunnel, Red Russian and Winterbor Kale have thrived! And don’t forget about the great yields from Ovation Greens and All Star Lettuce in both tunnels. Almost 60 pounds of our Joi Choi bok choy showed up this spring at UNH Dining.
Summer squash, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, and possibly corn will be harvested this summer! So stay tuned on our instagram, twitter, and facebook.
On our annual field trip we were fortunate to visit two Farm to You NH alumni at Doo-Bee-Doo farms in Dover. They are an emerging farm with a variety of crops! We encourage you to visit their farm stand!
